Alex Tric Art Show
The Alex Tric Art Show is about the people. The paintings give everyone a reason to be there, but the best part of the night is the conversations between complete strangers. Good art. Good people. Good energy.

‘Summer in Winter’ art show
This exhibit was originally displayed during the winter months. As the excitement of the holidays fade and the cold settles in, many people find themselves feeling less energized, less motivated, and disconnected from the things that make them feel alive. The Summer In Winter exhibit was created as an antidote to the grey. Through vibrant colors, nostalgic scenes, and moments inspired by adventure, travel, and connection, the collection serves as a reminder that warmer days are ahead. At its core, the exhibit is about perspective. Seasons change. Circumstances change. Moods change. What may feel permanent right now, rarely is. Each piece invites viewers to reconnect with experiences that made them feel fully present. It’s a reminder that warmth is never as far away as it seems.
Below, you can explore the stories behind the artwork and learn more about the experiences that inspired the collection.

"This artwork is titled 'Summer Pool Party' and it was inspired by a party I hosted at my studio in Long Island last year. The photo was taken around 3am, when only a handful of people were left at the party. Since it was towards the end of summer, we hadn't planned on swimming, so none of us had bathing suits. In the picture, you can see us using a towel that was designed based on artwork from this show."
“This artwork originated from a photo I took during a Summer trip to Europe. The Citroen car pulled into a side street off Overtoom (S106) near Vondelpark in Amsterdam. The sun was setting behind the iconic Dutch merchant houses lining the street, and the soft glow of streetlights started to illuminate the cobblestone road, casting a warm ambiance over the scene. As I walked out from Vondelpark and turned the corner, I saw this. I paused, admiring the car's vintage charm. I snapped this photo before the Citroen's accelerator purred to life, and it continued down the alleyway.”

"When I was younger, whenever life felt overwhelming, I would head downstairs to the fish tank my mom kept in the basement. I'd sit there listening to the steady sound of the water filter and watch the fish move through the tank. There was something about the rhythm of it that cut through the noise and slowed everything down. Years later, fish continue to appear in my artwork. They serve as a reminder that calm is something we find when we step away from the chaos long enough to look for it."

"On a cold winter day, I bought my first plant—a Majestic Palm. What started as a quick purchase changed the atmosphere of the studio. In the middle of winter, its vibrant green leaves brought a sense of life and energy into the space. It served as a reminder that life continues during the colder weather. Over time, the palm became a constant presence in the studio and a source of inspiration for this collection."

Early Years
Alex Tric is a Long Island artist and promoter known for creating artwork and events that remind people what it feels like to be fully present.
Growing up on Long Island in the 1990s, Tric was drawn to the places, characters, and experiences that made life feel larger than itself. Family vacations, summer destinations, classic films, amusement parks, boardwalks, and roadside attractions all left a lasting impression on him. Those early influences continue to shape his work today.
His paintings explore themes of adventure, nostalgia, connection, and the pursuit of experiences that make life memorable. Drawing inspiration from both personal memories and shared cultural experiences, Tric creates work that resonates with collectors who value curiosity, optimism, and a sense of possibility.
Beyond the artwork itself, Tric has become known for hosting art shows that feel more like social events than traditional gallery openings. His exhibitions bring together artists, entrepreneurs, professionals, and curious newcomers in an atmosphere that is welcoming, energetic, and fun. What begins as an art show often turns into an evening of conversation and connection.
For Tric, the goal has never been simply to display paintings on a wall. It's to create experiences that bring people together and remind them that life is meant to be lived fully.
Whether through a painting, a story, or a room full of people sharing a memorable night, his work is ultimately about feeling more connected and present.
